Product Description
Oticon CROS miniRITE T
Introducing the Oticon CROS family – CROS and CROS PX
The Oticon CROS family enables people with single-sided deafness (SSD) to hear and engage in their world like never before, enabling users to achieve a fuller, more immersive open sound experience. Single-sided deafness (SSD) is a condition where there is significant or total hearing loss in one ear.
It can be especially challenging to follow conversations when you have hearing loss in one ear. Oticon CROS PX and Oticon CROS feature advanced dual-streaming technology that allows you to enjoy wireless streaming while still accessing the relevant sounds in your environment.
A powerful platform
Powered by the Velox S platform, Oticon CROS features powerful and advanced processor from Oticon. This processor enables the OpenSound Navigator which supports the way the brain naturally makes sense of sound for an unmatched listening experience.
A high-quality open sound experience
Oticon CROS features a version of the OpenSound Navigator designed for transmitting sound to an Oticon hearing aid. It is key to providing 360-degree listening experience by scanning the environment, balancing the sounds and removing unwanted noise.
TwinLink dual streaming — an industry first
Oticon CROS is the world’s first solution for CROS/BiCROS fittings offering TwinLink, an innovative technology featuring simultaneous NFMI and 2.4 GHz Bluetooth low energy streaming capability. TwinLink makes it possible to connect to external audio streaming, like a television, while simultaneously enjoying a conversation with someone positioned on the poorer ear.
CROS/BiCROS
CROS is a Contralateral Routing of Signal (CROS) amplification system and it is paired with a compatible hearing aid. Sounds are picked up by the microphones in the CROS transmitter located on the poorer ear and transmitted to a receiving hearing aid located on the better ear. The solution is set up as CROS configuration if the better ear has normal hearing. If some hearing loss is present in the better ear, the solution is set up as a Bilateral Contralateral Routing of Signal (BiCROS) configuration. The CROS transmitter is meant to be used with a compatible hearing aid on the other side. It cannot be used alone or by itself.
